Throughcare Housing & Support (THS) was established on 8th November 2006.

We are a ‘Charity Organisation No. 1117761’ with the objective of supporting people who have a range of vulnerabilities. These can vary from children seeking asylum, refugees, young expectant mothers or young mothers with babies who need extra support, young people leaving care and young children and/or adults escaping violence.

We understand the reality of these and realise the detrimental affects they can have on a person’s life. At THS we know that, unfortunately, these children and/or adults could experience difficulties in society, which could lead to unemployment, poverty, homelessness and exclusion.

By providing the right kind of support and guidance, THS hopes to give them the skills to live independently, to feel comfortable within their environment and to build relationships and feel a sense of community. Our overall priority is to enable those vulnerable people to not only live a better quality of life but to live it proudly.

We are offering a range of housing and support services to underprivileged people across the Midlands, supporting them at any one time. We believe a person or group is vulnerable when support is required to enable or promote independent living with a safe and active participation within the Community.

We care for asylum seeking/Refugee minors aged 16 to 18 living in private residential situations supported 24 hours a day seven days a week by a mixture of key workers and out reach support workers.

Working in relationship with social services we also care for minors coming out of foster care who need initial support in semi-independent living.

THS have strong relationships with legal representatives and will be working towards establishing strong working relationships with Save the Children, B.U.M.P. (Befriending Unaccompanied Minors Project), British Red Cross, specialised asylum health services and specialised education providers.

For the safety and welfare of all minors in our care, all staff members will have supplied satisfactory references and also undergone a Criminal Reference Bureau (CBR) check.

Please support our campaigns by downloading our posters and placing them in places that will benefit from our services.
